“There are various reasons why people dream of living in a different country, but the pursuit of a career can make that dream a reality,” the company shared in a statement provided to Travel + Leisure about its study. “Today, people’s ambitions and chosen careers can take them anywhere they want to go. Globalization has opened the door to enticing job opportunities all around the world.”

After looking at the data, it revealed that the most wished-for international relocation destination is Canada. To find where people wanted to move most, the team used the search template “jobs in [country name]” to chart the flow of job seekers across the globe and their search trends.

“Canada is most frequently selected for relocation among the nations reviewed, making it the most popular destination for people to work that isn’t their home country,” Job Seeker added in its findings. “A desire to work in Canada is the most prominent trend among job seekers in Costa Rica, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.”

Australia came in at No. 2, as it was “chosen by seven other nations, including Denmark, Indonesia, and the United Kingdom.” It was followed by Switzerland, the United States, Singapore, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Qatar, and Spain rounding out the top 10.

Trump pledges 25 per cent tariffs on all goods imported from Canada and Mexico

Reuters »

Trump on Monday pledged a 25% tariff on all products from Mexico and Canada from his first day in office, and an additional 10% tariff on goods from China, citing illegal immigration and the trade of illicit drugs.

“On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

Trump said the tariffs would remain in place until the two countries clamp down on drugs, particularly fentanyl, and migrants crossing the border illegally.
